Today, in the library we used the Google search tools. I prefer Google as my searching tool. It is fast and reliable. The Google search tools helps you search with specifics. You can see whats been posted in the past 24 hours about a certain subject. It helps for those who want to lessen the results. The search tool gives different options and combinations to help our search.
We typed in “how do the democratic AND republican positions on fiscal cliff differ?” to see what results we would get. At first without using the search tools to lessen the results, I got about 65 million results in .54 seconds. When I used the search tool verbatim I got about 17 and a half thousand results in .12 seconds. To lessen the results I used the minus signs to cancel out certain things. I used the verbatim search tool and in the search bar I used –blogs –videos –images –books –past hour –personal –news which lessens the results to 10. The best search tool was the verbatim and it got me the least results.

The Fallen Hero
The
Fallen Hero
The
fallen hero is a hero that makes self-conscious decisions that leads to his or
her own destruction or downfall. In Star Wars
Episode III: Revenge of the Sith,
Anakin, the protagonist, makes a number of self-conscious decisions that lead
him to become the fallen hero. His selfish actions lured him into the dark side
of the force.
The
first mistake the Anakin makes was when he was fighting Count Dooku. Count
Dooku says to Anakin "I sense great fear in you, Skywalker. You have
hate. You have anger. But you don't use them." The anger and the hate are
only used by the dark side. A Jedi has a code of conduct such as a knight to chivalry.
As Anakin is being taunted by Dooku, he uses his anger to disarm and decapitate
both Dooku’s hands. While Dooku is incapable of fighting, the chancellor urges
Anakin to kill him. Anakin consciously thinks of what decision to make. He
knows it’s not the Jedi way but also knows that Dooku is too dangerous to be
alive. As Anakin makes the decision of killing Dooku, he is drawn closer to the
dark side.
The
point when Anakin was most lost was when he was told by Obi-wan to spy on the
chancellor. Anakin sees this as treason to the republic and doesn’t like this
mission because the chancellor is his friend. He is confused and upset about
the whole situation. At this point, he doesn’t know what to do which eventually
leads him to make selfish decisions that ultimately lead to his downfall.
The
crucial mistake that Anakin made was when Master Windu was about to kill the
chancellor. Anakin was either going to choose the Jedi force or to save Padme.
Anakin tells Windu that the chancellor must stand trial but Windu disregards it
and says that he is too dangerous to be alive. As Windu was going to kill the
chancellor, Anakin intervened and cuts off Windu’s hand. The Dark Sith shocks
Windu out the window to fall hundreds of stories down to his death. At that
point, Anakin knows he cannot go back. He pledges allegiance to the Dark Sith
in return to learn the power to save Padme. He becomes the apprentice of the
Dark Sith and is known now as Dark Vader. This decision he made was the point
of no return.
Did
Anakin ever have a chance of remaining a Jedi? He had many chances of remaining
a Jedi but chose not do. He could’ve let Windu kill the chancellor but instead
he betrayed his master. He could’ve let Count Dooku live and stand trial as the
first decision he made. He had many chances of remaining a Jedi. When he betrayed
Master Windu, it was the point he could not remain a Jedi. In that point, he
made his ultimate decision to pledge allegiance to the dark side. That one
selfish decision he made erased any chance of remaining a Jedi.

Prop 34
Proposition 34 is about the death penalty. If state voters approve of it, it will eliminate the death penalty in California and replace it with life sentences without the possibility of parole. This proposition challenges the morals of people’s belief. Should the “bad” people be given a chance to live or just be sentenced to death?
The pro’s of this proposition is that it will create a 100 million dollar fund to be invested to help investigate homicide and sex crimes. It prevents the possibility of executing an innocent person. Some people believe that it is morally wrong. The con’s of this proposition is that it let criminals escape justice. It weakens public safety laws. The criminals get lifetime housing & health benefits. It cost tax payers 100 million dollars for the next 4 years.
I am not able to vote but if I could, I would vote to say yes on proposition 34. I believe that executing a life is morally wrong. It cost more to execute a person than to house and shelter them. There is always a chance the criminal might be found innocent after they got executed.

Knight Occupation
Sir Yoh Tha the Knight
If I was to choose an occupation in the middle ages, it would be the knights. The knights are the main day generals of our time. They lead the infantry with courage and braveness. They keep the people safe from the dangers away from home. They keep the kingdom strong and protect the king from all dangers. A knight holds true to chivalry to the fullest.
Everyday I would wake up, put on either my noble clothes or suit of armor, and then ride out in my faithful horse to stride out in the city. I would uphold the law if I see any crimes being committed. Any treason to the kingdom would be dealt with an iron hand. If I am sent to war, I will eagerly fight to the death. Many knights may be jealous because of my courageous soul, brave heart, and superior leadership. I am the best at my occupation and will fight to prove myself.
I am a noble and I have a lavish life. I don’t mind the lavish living but rather have honor over money. I live to keep my kingdom safe. In this world, we have many allies and many enemies. Anytime I clash with my enemies, I will crush them into the abyss. There is no mercy for my enemies, only death and suffering. Even though I am ruthless in the battlefield, I am a family guy. I love my children and my wife. I teach my children to always be honest, brave, and courageous. I try to keep them in a straight and righteous path. Only they can choose their own path. I love my wife to death and there’s nothing scarier then a woman’s wrath. On the battlefield I am ruthless and unstoppable but at home, I’m gentle and lively to be around.
I value honor, bravery and honesty. I follow the codes of chivalry to the fullest. There is no other better feeling then protecting your kingdom. I also value my family, battlefield strategies, and my king. I plan to keep on protecting the kingdom, raising my son to be a knight and to keep my family safe and happy.
I am the greatest knight to live. The codes of chivalry are like my ten commandments and I keep it close to my heart. I love my family and I am loyal to my king. I will protect the kingdom to the death. I will perform my duties and uphold the laws at all times. I am the ideal knight. I am ruthless on the battlefield while gentle and loving when not fighting.

The American Dream
How does one define the “ American Dream?” Some think that the American dream is to become rich and famous while others might think that it is to live without poverty and be happy. There are a lot of different thoughts on what the American dream is but for me, the American dream is town a business, become financially stable, and to have a family.
I want to own a business because I always thought, since I was young, that owning a business meant you’ll become rich. I learned and observed that it is not as easy as it looks. To even create a business, is financially difficult especially in the recession that we are living in. This “ perception… among economists that the new generation must lower its expectations.”(Generation Screwed) is hard to face, but if I had to own a small hot dog stand out in the city, I would. No matter what kind of business it involves, large or small, I would still want to have it. My dream is to own a business no matter what circumstances or how low I would have to get. Even if I have to start down from the dirt, I would do so to reach to the skyscrapers.
Once I own a successful business, if I do achieve it or not, I want to be financially stable. I’m going to have to support a lot of people when I get older such as my parents, guardians, and my future family. Not knowing the future, I have to make financial decisions early. I want to go to a business school or a university that offers business as a major. What I learn in the future about financing and business will help me become a financially stable person. This dream can be easily done if I’m focused and determined to get necessary things to be done.
I want to have a family in the future. Maybe in the long future because “ Nearly a third of people between 18 and 34 have put off marriage or having a baby due to the recession…” (Generation screwed) I feel that I can’t afford a kid making me not even want one. Mainly because kids are expensive and the price of affording kids increase as the years go by unless our economy becomes financially stable. My dream is to have a family in the suburbs living with grandma and grandpa. It may take a while but I will achieve it through determination and hard work.
Owning a business, being financially stable, and having a family are my American dream. The American dream I have will be achieved. It might take a few years or ten years but no matter what, I will be determined to achieve it. “If you believe, you can achieve.” No matter how bad the recession gets or how difficult financially it gets, I will try my best to make it happen. Not everyone can achieve their dreams but if they never up, they can achieve it someday. The American dream seems difficult, sometimes impossible because of circumstances but if you fight for it and keep trying, nothing is too far away to achieve.

Do or Die Senior Year.
What do colleges look in a student when that applies for admission to thier school? They look at the student's GPA, extra-curricular activities and achievements in academics. The will of the student must be stronger then the want to gain admission to the college. I believe that colleges should take away entrance to their campuses from senior who allow thier grades to fall or who don't finish the demanding schedule they told the college they were taking because its only fair for others who are willing to maintain and continue throughtout the year in the specific course they told the colleges they were going to accomplish.
Seniors who are willing to maintain a good GPA throughout the year and complete the schedules they said they were going to do should gain admission unlike the seniors who did not. Senior should work hard if they do want to gain addmission only because working hard pays off for those who are willing to do so. Colleges look for students who are hard working, determined, and can achieve what they say they were going to accomplish. Colleges look for students who can go through college and maintain good grades and complete what needs to be done. They don't want students who just fill up space and two semesters down the road be asked to leave.
Colleges should be able to take away admission to those seniors who allow their grades to fall or who don't finish the schedule they told the college they were taking. Its only fair for those who manage their grades and complete the course they told the college they were going to take. Colleges want the best students they can possibly find. Seniors who are serious should be accepted admission and those who are not, should not be accepted.

Senior Highlights
What am I looking forward to this senior year? Well first and foremost I am looking towards achieving great grades. Yes, that is my number one goal of this entire school year. I am trying to organize myself in a way to accomplish this long time goal. I will have to study and work very diligently this year. I have to stop procrastinating so much. I will have to kiss Netflix goodbye until the weekends.
The second thing I am looking forward in the school year is sports. The main sport I am focused on is wrestling. I have been wrestling for two years now and will be looking toward my third and last year. I want to succeed in pushing my body beyond the limit so I can be mentally fit for whatever opponents I have to face. This is my senior year so I will show no mercy out on the mat. You will see the outside animal spirit of me out on the mat.
